Hardangervidda

Hardangervidda is Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau and the largest national park in Norway!
There are a lot of different plants and animals living in the park, and it is a popular destination for trekking and outdoor activities.

The mountain trout that swims around in the countless lakes are popular amongst fishermen. The national park is also the home of Europe's largest population of native wild caribou. In addition to that, it is the southern most destination where you can find Arctic species like the Arctic Fox and Snowy Owl.

Many of the trails here are marked and you can get a hold of good maps from the Norwegian Trekking Association. The park can be entered from many different spots.
